Maria-Teresa Bello joined Almazan Law in November, 2018 as an associate attorney in the Title Insurance and Real Estate Closings, Code Enforcement and Fine Mitigation, and Real Estate Litigation departments. She strives to handle all parts of a real estate transaction meticulously with the client’s interest in mind. Mrs. Bello became a member of the Florida Bar in 2018.
Mrs. Bello received her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Public Contract Law Journal and a tutor of Modern Real Estate Transactions. While in law school, she also worked at Salcedo Attorneys at Law P.A. in Miami, FL on corporate and real estate transactions for international clients from Brazil, Venezuela, France, and so on. In addition, she interned at the Federal Communications Commission, Enforcement Bureau, Investigations & Hearings Division in Washington, D.C. There she conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on various Commission rules including sponsorship identification, underwriting, and broadcast of telephone conversations. Furthermore, she interned at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Miami and worked on a class action law suit based age discrimination.
Mrs. Bello graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies. She also studied at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France and finished an international business course with honors. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She is recently married and enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants in Miami.
