Michael Caballero joined Almazan Law in October 2018 as an associate attorney in the Workers’ Compensation and Litigation practice groups. He strives to provide aggressive, responsive and cost-effective legal representation to employers, carriers and servicing agents in the Workers’ Compensation practice. In the Litigation field, he prides himself on developing meaningful relationships with clients and working relentlessly to protect their interests.
Prior to joining Almazan Law, Michael clerked under attorney Jorge C. Borron, honing his legal skills and knowledge on the plaintiffs’ side of civil cases ranging from first-party property insurance claims to commercial contract disputes.
Michael previously spent several years assisting attorneys at Richard J. Diaz, P.A. with litigation of civil and criminal cases.
Michael received his Juris Doctor and Master of Science in Government Organization and Leadership from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska.
While in law school he studied international criminal law in The Hague, Netherlands and Nuremberg, Germany, the site of the historic Nuremberg Trials following Work War II. He also completed a legislative fellowship in the office of Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen in Washington D.C. during which he worked on initiatives involving federal emergency disaster response, gun policy and tax policy.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida International University.
A native of Miami, Michael is fluent in Spanish and enjoys distance running and fishing.
