Coming back from ClioCon 2025 in Boston, one word keeps echoing in my mind: momentum.
For three days, we were surrounded by visionaries — people unafraid to challenge the traditional definition of what a law firm should look like. From AI-driven client experiences to reimagining firm culture, ClioCon wasn’t just a conference; it was a catalyst.
But for me, the biggest takeaway wasn’t about technology. It was about people — the teams who show up every day ready to grow, adapt, and lead with purpose. At Almazan Law, we’ve always believed that innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when culture meets courage. When a firm decides that the old way of working isn’t enough, and chooses to rewrite its own playbook.
That’s what this trip was about for us: team building, alignment, and action.
Our group didn’t just absorb ideas — we left with a plan. A plan to refine how we work, communicate, and continue transforming how law can be practiced: faster, smarter, and more human.
As we continue this journey, I’m incredibly proud that Almazan Law is helping to shape that conversation nationally. I’ll be speaking later this month at two incredible events:
- π October 29th: DRI: AI-Powered Defense part 2 Webinar
- π October 30th: FDLA Forum at Ackerman on AI.
Both sessions will explore how AI can strengthen—not replace—human advocacy, helping defense firms deliver better outcomes through data, precision, and collaboration. For every firm leader out there wondering where to start, my message is simple: start with your people. Technology can amplify what you already do well — but culture determines whether innovation thrives or stalls.
ClioCon 2025 reminded me that the future of law isn’t about choosing between people and progress. It’s about realizing that one can’t exist without the other. And as we bring those lessons home to our offices in Miami, West Palm Beach, and Tampa, one thing’s certain — this is just the beginning.
