Alberto Sabater

Law Clerk

Prior to joining Almazan Law, Alberto was a law clerk at the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida where he participated in several jury trials, including a conviction under 18 U.S.C. § 1951 Hobbs Act. Before that, he was a law clerk, where he focused on complex business disputes and commercial litigation with a national law firm. Alberto uses his extensive litigation background and trial exposure to achieve efficient outcomes and creative solutions for the firm’s clients.

Alberto is also a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit providing pro bono services to children throughout the Miami-Dade area. A Miami native, Alberto is fluent in Spanish. He is an avid mountain biker and enjoys spending time with his wife, Lilie, and their two dogs.

Education

A Double Gator, Alberto received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida and earned his B.A., in Criminology from the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude. While at UF Levin College of Law, Alberto was an Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and a member of the Dean’s List.
