With 15 years of combined paralegal experience in criminal and civil litigation, Cheyenne Smith supports attorneys through all stages of case preparation and litigation. Her responsibilities included answering civil complaints, drafting and filing pleadings, answering and propounding discovery, managing case files and court deadlines, analyzing evidence, preparing settlement documents, and assisting with hearings and trial preparation.
Her background includes being a Paralegal in criminal litigation with the Office of the State Attorney 7th Judicial Circuit, statewide fraud and identity-theft Investigator with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, and Paralegal in complex first-party property defense with Security First Insurance Company. Cheyenne was also an emergency 911 Dispatcher for the Holly Hill Police Department and then the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Her first job in the legal/law field was as a Florida State Certified Corrections Officer For the Volusia County Branch Jail.
Outside of her legal career, Cheyenne Smith is an artist whose work is sold nationally and internationally. She has exhibited in multiple galleries and participated in art fairs, including Art Basel. She also enjoys traveling, snowboarding, playing tennis, practicing yoga, and relaxing in her pool with a good book.
