Oscar Bastardo joins Almazan Law as a Senior Attorney, bringing over a decade of litigation experience to the firm's construction defect, general liability, and civil litigation practices.

Oscar has spent his career representing insureds, general contractors, and subcontractors in high-stakes construction defect and liability matters, guiding cases from pre-suit investigation through trial and final resolution. Most recently, as Senior Associate Attorney at Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, he directed complex cases involving construction defects, contract disputes, and homeowner and condominium association claims, achieving favorable outcomes in jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations while maintaining strong working relationships with insureds and corporate representatives.

Earlier in his career, Oscar served as Senior Trial Attorney for Allstate in-house counsel, managing a diverse civil litigation caseload spanning bodily injury, uninsured motorist, personal injury protection, and homeowner claims. As an Associate Attorney at Katz, Siegel & Maple, he represented general contractors and subcontractors in complex claims involving breach of contract, negligence, and Florida Building Code violations, handling intensive motion practice and deposing engineering experts.

Oscar began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the 13th Judicial Circuit, where he served as lead counsel in numerous felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile trials — experience that sharpened the trial advocacy skills he now brings to civil defense work.

Oscar is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs from Florida State University.
